It's the first of the Month again. Time to back up the home computer's data. I've been making an off-site backup (data only) once a month. Here's the plan. I use a USB hard drive and Microsoft's SyncToy to copy data from selected areas of my hard drive (My documents, Shared documents, Shared music, etc.) After the backup is done, I take the hard disk to work and store it there.
While I could use a regular USB hard disk, I actually saved a few pennies by using an old SATA hard drive and a USB connection kit. This looks ugly, but it works just as well as a regular USB hard drive.
